It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claude Seymour, at the age of 81 years at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, on Wednesday, April 7, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Claude leaves to mourn his wife, Maude of 58 years. Claude also leaves to mourn his five daughters, Paula Macdonald (Terry), Donna Musseau (Edward), Edith Seaward (Melvin), Glenda Avery (Andy), Claudia McDonald (Paul). Also left behind are Claude’s six grandchildren, Stephen and Christian, Kelly and Kerbie, Jusstice and Benjamin, and six great grandchildren Brodie, Kirdres, Adonis, Ryder, Sarah and Jessie and a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family. Claude was predeceased by his parents Eli and Maggie Seymour.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 9th, from 6:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. At the request of the family, masks are strongly encouraged. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 11th at 2:00 P.M at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, Port aux Basques, with Rev. Jane Allen officiating.
