It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Matthew Street announces his peaceful passing at home on Saturday, February 25, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late, Wilson and Maude (nee Hiscock) Street.
Matthew leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 66 years, Ruth, children, Mildred (Sean) McDermott, Johnny (Joan) Street, Art (Paula) Street, Sheldon (Heidi) Street and Trevor (Nicole) Street, grandchildren, Candice (Dylan), Blair (Stephaine), Randy (Ashley), Jay (Marchetta), Brittany, Matthew, Max, Melissa, Keisha, Gonish (Neil), Colby (Madison), William, Shelbie, Marcus, Jared, Dalton, Richard and Tyler and 10 great grandchildren and brother Joe (Margaret) Street, and brother and sister-in-law Ward (Alice) Skinner, plus a large circle of extended family, nieces, nephews and friends.
Matt was predeceased by his son, Ronnie.
In keeping with Matthew’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No funeral service or visitation will take place.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St.James Anglican Church.
