It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Gary Harvey announce his passing on Monday, July 3, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 65. Born in Isle aux Morts, Gary was the son of the late William and Agnes (Hiscock) Harvey

Gary leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 34 years Ellen (nee Walters), his loving children, Dawn Harvey (Johnny Keeping), Clifford Harvey (Krista Chaulk), Candace Harvey (Josh Dalzeil) and Shannon (Sadie) Harvey, his grandchildren, Victoria Seymour, Emma Richards, Anna Harvey, Karla Harvey, poppy’s best little buddy, Mason Harvey and great grandson, Rowan Richards. Gary will be sadly missed by his sisters, Evelyn (Albert) Harvey, brothers, Ephraim (Sabrina) Harvey, Rex (Trudy) Harvey, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Wayne (Alfreda) Walters, George (Mary Lynn) Walters, Gussie Anderson, Eric Walters, Pauline (Eddy) Ryan, Wilson (Helena) Walters, Kenny Roy (Karen) Walters, Donovan (Carol) Walters, Lisa (Bobby) Bird, Louise Harvey, Lockland Keeping, Sylvia Harvey and Liz Harvey, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gary was predeceased by his daughter, Nadia Harvey, grandson, Eli Harvey, mother and father in law, John William and Beulah Walters, brothers, Bill Harvey, Douglas (Elizabeth) Harvey, Roger Harvey and Ross Harvey, sister, Isabella Keeping and brother and sister in laws, Robert Walters and Linda Walters.

In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place; family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6th from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M; with a family service beginning at 8:00 p.m. Interment to be held at a later date. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in Gary’s memory can be made to the Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle aux Morts. Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca.
