It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Lucine Margaret Anderson announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, in the presence of her loving family at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre.

Born in Loch Lomond, Lucine was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary “Mamie” (Ryan) Luedee. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons, Dion (Laura-lee) Anderson and Nicholas Anderson (Lisa Duffy), and only granddaughter, Ashley Anderson (Jackson Gosselin). She will be fondly remembered and missed by her sisters and brothers, Bernice Marks, Cecilia Ryan, Bernard(Adeline) Luedee, Ann Marie (Alex) Carter, Gordon Luedee (Betty O’Quinn), sisters-and brothers-in-law, Peggy Luedee, Eleanor Luedee and Gerald Ryan; large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucine was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Anderson, sisters, Adele (Bernard) Wall, Margaret Rose "Peggy" Ryan, brothers, Cyril, James and Leo, sister and brother-in-laws, Gerard Ryan, Lew Marks

The family would like to send thanks to Dr. Blecher and staff of Dr. Charles Legrow Health Center, as well as health care workers Shannon O’Quinn and Lori-ann Ryan. Family visitations will be held at Oceanside Funeral Home in Port aux Basques on Sunday, July 9th from 7:00-9:00 P.M and from St. Ann’s Church in Upper Ferry on Monday, July 10th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 11th at St. Ann’s Church at 11:00 A.M with Father Prakash officiating. Interment to follow at Mount St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lucine can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
