It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Horatio Clyde Bragg announces his peacefully passing on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center in Port aux Basques, at the age of 74.

Born in Port aux Basques, Horatio was the son of the late Chesley and Georgina Bragg. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years, Lucy (nee Durnford), his loving daughter, Nadine Bragg (Jamie Seaward) and his chosen grandson, Noah Spencer. He will be sadly missed by his sister and brothers, Sylvia Cawdry (Don Asaph), Roland (Beverly), Bob (Harriett) and Gary Bragg, brother and sister in -laws, Merrill Durnford, Arthur Gillam, Marie Bragg, John (Joan) Durnford and Vera (Eric) Stoodley, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Horatio was predeceased by his sisters and brother, Ida Durnford, Linda Gillam, Kay (Eric) Ingram, Jim Bragg, sister and brother in-law, Mary (Stewart) Musseau and mother-in-law, Florence Skinner.

In keeping with Horatio’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Thursday, November 23rd from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m. from Wesley United Church with Joan Chassion and Rev. Patricia Ritchie officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
