Kay Warren Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris “Kay” Warren (nee Goodyear) announce her passing at the Western Memorial Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, at the age of 73. Born in Lumsden, NL, Kay was the daughter of the late Jim and Mabel (nee Gibbons) Goodyear.

Kay leaves to mourn with cherished memories, her loving husband of 51 years, Edwin, daughters Kelly Warren and Katrina (Gary) Taylor, and her pride and joy, “nan’s girl”, Kayla Warren. Kay will be sadly missed by her sisters, Brenda (Boyd) Russell, Bernice (Jim) Goodyear, and Della (Jim Crow) Sharpe and brother Jimmy (Wanda) Goodyear; brother-in-law, Lorne (Debbie); sisters-in-law Beulah (Roger) Billard, Brenda (Earl) Brenton, and Annabelle Warren; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Kay was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jessie (nee Hayman) and Emanuel Warren, and brothers-in-law Wilfred and Calvin Warren.

Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the palliative care unit for the care that Kay received during her short battle with illness.

In keeping with Kay’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kay may be made at a charity of your choice.
