It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Pike announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Bay St. George Long Term Care at the age of 78, with her loving family by her side. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marion (née Strickland) Savoury.

With loving and precious memories Jessie leaves behind her loving son, Robert (Kelly) Pike, her precious grandsons, Curtis and Austin and great grandchildren, Tesla and Raiya MacNeil and Arya Pike. She will never be forgotten by her brothers, Ken (Judy) Savoury, Gord Savoury, sisters, Linda (Norman) Chaulk, Wanda (Ken) Loveless, Pauline Duhart (Dennis Seymour) and Jocelyn (Paul) Strickland, brothers and sister’s in-laws, Leonard (Brenda) Pike, Earl (Deanna) Pike, Henry Pike, Kathleen Ayers, Florence Narbone and Donna Savoury plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Austin, brothers, Fred and Wayne Savoury ands sisters and brothers -in-laws, Sylvia Savoury, William (Maggie) Pike, Clifford (Caroline) Pike, Dave, Junior, Ernest Pike, Ivy and Rowena Pike, mother and father in law, Martin and Harriett Pike

The family will be receiving friends and family on Thursday, June 20th from 2:00 -4:00 & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. In keeping with Jessie wishes, cremation to follow. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachios Hill with a funeral procession leaving from Oceanside Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Flowers accepted or donation in memory of Jessie can be made graciously to the family.
