It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Benoit announce his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center on August 7th, 2024, at the age of 90, with his loving family by his side. Born in Cape St. George, he was the son of the late William and Rose Benoit.
Thomas leaves to mourn with treasured memories, sons, Dana (Patti), Darrell (Roselyn); daughters, Karen Clarke (Dave), Jeannine (Raymond) Gallant, Tara Benoit; grandchildren, Kim, Danielle (Derek), Julia (Lenny), Blair (Ellen) Bobbi (Loren), Taylor (Blake), Morgan and Jey (Haley), many great grandchildren, and his fur baby, Paris. Thomas also leaves behind his brothers, Maurice, Gerard, Fintan, sisters, Helen, Monica and Thelma, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Thomas was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Marina, his brothers, Richard and Darius and sister, Annie.
In keeping with Thomas’ wishes, cremation had taken place. There will be an interment of ashes for Thomas and his late wife, Marina Benoit, taking place on Friday, August 9th beginning with a procession starting at Oceanside Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m., that will continue to Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’ memory can graciously be made to Shadow Rescue. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home.
