It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Ken Savory announce his passing on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 71 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Ken was the son of the late Albert and Marion (nee Strickland) Savory.

Ken leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Judy (nee Carter) of 48 years, his sons, Kevin, (Glenda Dominie), Timmy (Ashley White) and his loving daughter, Kendra. He was the best poppy and loved spending time with his grandchildren, Haylee Dominie, Kennedy Stuckless, Emily Savory, Mason Savory, Frederick Stuckless and Julia Savory. He also leaves to mourn his brother, Gord Savory, sisters, Pauline Duhart (Dennis Seymour), Linda (Norman) Chaulk, Wanda (Ken) Loveless and Jocelyn (Paul) Strickland and brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior (Doris) Carter, Linda Bleakeny, Garry (Laverne) Carter, Micheal (Natasha) Carter, Deloras Carter, Vina Carter and Donna Savory, special cousin, Mike and his furry companion Napper, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Ken was predeceased by his sister and brothers, Jessie (Austin) Pike, Fred and Wayne Savory, brothers and sisters in laws, Sylvia Savory, John Bleakney, Melvin Carter, Carol Ann (Bob) Blough, Kevin, Joan Carter- Parsons and baby Charles Carter.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for their care and compassion shown to Ken.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street on Friday, January 24th from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:30 to 8:30, a private family service to follow with Rev. Faye Coffin officiating, and interment will follow on Sunday, January 26th at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, commencing with a funeral procession from Oceanside Funeral Home at 12:30.
