It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roland Henry Pike announces his peaceful passing on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre with his loving family by his side at the age of 87. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late Martin and Harriett (nee Chant) Pike. Henry will be sadly missed by his son, Roland (Corina), grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel, Cassaundra (Matthew), Matthew, and great-grandchildren, Kiara and Isla. He also leaves to mourn, special nephew, Ernest (Loriann), sisters, Florence, Kathleen, brother, Leonard (Brenda), and a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Shirley Hynes, parents, Martin and Harriett, eight brothers and two sisters. The family would like to say a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center for their compassion and care shown to Henry. In keeping with Henry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry may be made to the Alzheimer’s society.
