It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Alfreda Ingram announces her passing on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, with her loving family by her side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 89. Born in Burgeo, Alfreda was the daughter of the late John and Frances (nee Rideout) Strickland.

Alfreda leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children Jessie (Charlie) Osmond, Stanley (Darlene) Collier, William Collier, grandchildren, Nancy Osmond (Wade Lawrence) Lisa (Paul) Buckland, Freddie (Camella) Collier, great-grandchildren, Morgan, Macy, Aaron, Kate, Olivia, Chloe, brothers and sisters, Aubrey (Harriett) Strickland, Levi (Margaret) Strickland, Leslie Strickland, Ann (Lewis) Bartlett, sisters in law, Ivy and Bertha Collier, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Alfreda was predeceased by her husbands, Frederick Collier, Alexander Patey, Howard Ingram, sister, Jessie (Arch) Nippard, Annette (James) Courtney, brothers and sisters in laws, Jack Collier, Ralph Collier, Florence (Art) Piccott, Ruby Collier, Norman Collier, Lena Collier, Harold Collier, and Marion Strickland.

In keeping with Alfreda's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place Monday, March 31st at 2:00 P.M. at St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted, or donations in memory of Alfreda may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
