Obituary of Judy Hardy

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Maria Julia (Judy) Hardy announces her sudden passing on Thursday, May 1st, 2025, at the age of 81, in the arms of her loving husband. Born in Rose Blanche she was the daughter of the late Garland and Blanche (nee Strickland) Hatcher. Judy will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Austin Hardy, her loving sons, Garland (Tania) Hardy and Eddie (Joy) Hardy, her grandchildren, Evan, Robyn, Sebastian, Sarah, Elizabeth and her special fur grandbaby, Ellie. She also leaves to mourn her brother, Ralph (Karen) Cox, her sisters and brothers-in-laws, Daphne (Gerry) Rose-Berk, Annie Hillard, Melvin (Sheila) Hardy, Donna (Gary) Dominie and James Young, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Special thanks to Lisa and Ruby for being the daughters she never had. Judy was predeceased by her brother, Wayne (Bernice) Hatcher, brothers and sisters-in-law, Amelia Young, Junior (Jean) Hardy, Wilfred (Sandra) Hardy, Eva (Don) Anderson and James (Lorraine) Hardy. Family and friends may visit St. Michaels and All Angels Church on Sunday, May 4th, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:30-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place Monday, May 5th at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon John Billard officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Judy may be made to St. Michaels and All Angels Church. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
