It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Garry Wilson Allen announces his passing on May 10th, 2025, at the age of 66 at Western Memorial Palliative Care with his family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, Garry was the son of Christina Allen (nee Coffin) and the late Wilson Allen.
Garry leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories, his mom, Christina Allen, sisters, Joyce (Calvin) Meade and Joan (Johnny) Street, nieces and nephews, Christa (Matthew) Thorne, Lee (Janine) Meade, Randy Street (Ashley) and Jay Street (Marcheta), great niece, Cassie, and great nephew, Riley. He also leaves to mourn, his special uncle, Edgar Allen, aunts, Marion Osmond, Subina Forsyth, and Chrissie (John) Spencer plus a large circle of extended family, and many friends.
Garry lived his life to the fullest, enjoying many things like boating, fishing, and bird hunting. He loved to go on his daily walks and would stop to chat with anyone he met along the way, but one of his favorite past times was to spend time in the shed, gathered with his friends, yarning and watching TV.
Garry was predeceased by his father, Wilson Allen, and many extended family members.
In keeping with Garry’s wishes, cremation has taken place; A private family service will be held with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Garry’s memory may be made to St. James Anglican church, or Daffodil Place. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home.
