It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Goldie Blackmore announces her passing on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 59, with her loving family by her side. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Bessie (nee Kendall) Pearce.

Goldie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son, Robert Blackmore, daughter, Elaine Blackmore (Joshua Jackson), common law partner, Dennis Farrell,mother-in-law, Ida Marshall, fur baby Bella, her brothers, Junior (Wanda Short) Pearce, Darren (Mildred) Pearce and sister, Vilesa (Duane) Bragg, nieces and nephews, Mandy, Jonathan, Brandon, Ava and Megan, four great nieces, Winter, Summer, Kaylie and Brooklyn, close friends, Janet (Clayton) Ingram and Jackie MacDonald, plus a large circle of friends and extended family.

Goldie was predeceased her parents, Wilson and Bessie Pearce, sister, Elaine and niece, Nikkita Pearce.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street on Tuesday, June 3rd from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Joshua Haggstrom, with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers accepted or donations in Goldie’s memory can be made graciously to the family.
