It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Edward Pearce announces his passing on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at Western Memorial Reginal Hospital, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 75. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (nee Taylor) Pearce.
Don will be sadly missed by his son, Joe (Patricia “Lee”) Pearce, daughters, Mildred (Sheldon) Osmond and Donna Forster (Brett MacMillan), his partner, Bonnie Faulker, his grandchildren, Eric Pearce, Jeremy Osmond (Cassandra Wheeler) and Mitchell Osmond, great grandchildren, Abby and Carson Osmond. He also leaves to mourn, sisters and brothers, Susan (Bruce) Goulding, Clarence (Diane) Pearce, Bertha Pearce (Carl Gale), Donna (Al) Comeau, and Carolann (Art) LeRiche, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Don was predeceased by his sister, Melinda (Lynn) White and nephew, Gary White.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Thursday, June 5th from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers donations in Don’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
