It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of the late William Keith Fudge announces his passing on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 77. Born in St. John’s, Bill was the son of the late John and Lily (nee Bond) Fudge.

Bill leaves to mourn with many special memories, his loving wife of 52 years, Geraldine Fudge, daughters, Tiffany Fudge, Tracy (Dean) Strickland, son, John (Amanda Kirkpatrick) Fudge, grandchildren, Dustin Myre, Alyssa Strickland, Noelle Fudge, Brooke Fudge, great-grandchildren, Paityn MacDougall, Parker Coelho, and Bella MacDougall.

He will also be greatly missed by brother, Ian (Jane) Fudge, sisters, Linda Fudge, Stephanie (Murray) Keough, sisters-in-law, Elaine (Eric) Chaulk, Sandra (Roger) Osmond, Donna (Don) Payne, and Roxanne (Melvin) Fiander, and brother-in-law, Dave Gillam (Mary Hefferman), plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Bill was predeceased by his sister, Jaquline Dominix, brothers-in-law, Roland Gillam, Ike Gillam, and sister-in-law, Linda Lawrence.

He found endless joy in the outdoors, especially casting a line into quiet rivers for salmon and trekking through the country in search of moose.

His love for nature was deep and abiding, and those who joined him on the water or in the woods knew they were part of something special.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13th, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place Monday, July 14th at 11:00 a.m. from St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. Faye Coffin officiating, interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are accepted, or donations in memory of Bill can be graciously made to the family.
