It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Jessie Collier announces her passing on Monday, Aug 4th, 2025, at Mountain Hope Manor at the age of 97. Born in Carbonear, Jessie was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Ursula Thoms.

Jessie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughter in law, Barb Collier, grandson, James (Krystle) Collier, and great granddaughter, Kate.

She also leaves behind extended family, Terry and Lorna Dingwell, Stephanie, Lisa, and their families, sister-in-law, Winnie Thoms, special friend Wanda, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband, John G. Collier, her son James T. Collier, brother Joseph Thoms, and sister Pearl (Clifford) Moore.

Visitations will be held at Oceanside Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6th from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place at Oceanside Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7th at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted in memory of Jessie. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
