It is with great sadness that the family of the late Caroline Edith Farrell announces her passing on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at Sir. Thomas Roddrick Hospital, Stephenville, at the age of 80, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Codroy, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Hilliard) Carter

Carol will be sadly missed by husband, Howard, of 57 years, daughter, Maxine (Jim) Hilliard, son, Scott (Dawn) Farrell, granddaughters, Brittany (Callum) Ratcliffe and Lori (Mike) Lomond, grandsons, Colin (Terri) Hillard and Matt Farrell, great grandchildren, Skylar, Peyton, and Maggie.

She also leaves to mourn her sister, Greta (Ernest) Collier, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jim (Evelyn) Farrell, Virge (Gary) Farrell, Karl (Wanda) Farrell, Donna (Lorne) Marriott, Yvonne Lyver, Dave (Doris) Farrell and Kenny (Sylvia) Farrell, plus, a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special thanks to niece, Joanne (Jeff) Huxter for all their care and compassion.

Carol was predeceased by her sister and brothers, Vera (Tom) Harding, Kay (Howard) Samms, Ella (Bill) Osbourne, Fred Carter, Bill (Florence) Carter, Dorothy (Tom) Confiant and Lewis Lyver.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory can be made to the Janeway Foundation.
