It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Marie Nora Wagg announces her passing on Friday, September 12th, 2025, with her loving family by her side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center at the age of 84. Born in Rose Blanche, Marie was the daughter of the late Alexander ‘Sandy’ and Maude (nee Strickland) Hatcher.

Marie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters, Geraldine (George) Herritt, Michelle (Kerry) Walters, grandchildren, Darrell (Charlene) Wagg, Chad (Jennifer) Herritt, Crystal (Andy) Herritt, Kelsey (Riley) Walters, great-grandchildren, Alexander, Caleb, Ashley, Colton, Lincoln, and great-great-granddaughter, Amelia. She will also be missed by brother, Wilfred (Dianne) Hatcher, sister-in-law, Martha Hatcher, plus a large circle of extended family, nieces and nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, infant son, Darrell, brother, Winston Hatcher, sister, Cathy-Ann Hatcher, plus many extended family members.

We would like to send a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center Long Term Care Unit for the care and compassion they had shown our mom over the years.

In keeping with Marie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitations will be held at St. Michaels and All Angels Church on Sunday, September 14th, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:30-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place on Monday, September 15th at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. John Billard officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers accepted or donations in memory of Marie may be made graciously to the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
