It is with great sadness that the family of the late Philip John Kendell announces his passing on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center with his loving family by his side, at the age of 72. Born in Margaree, Phil was the son of the late John and Dorothy (nee Scott) Kendell.

Phil will be sadly missed by brothers and sisters, Leslie Kendell, Shirley (Chesley) Osmond, Vivian (Edward) McQuarrie, Larry (Lorena) Kendell, Nancy Dodge (Dave Osmond), Jeanette Billard, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Phil was predeceased by his parent, brother, Gordon, baby brother, Edwin, and brother-in-law, John T. Billard.

Family and friends may visit St. Augustine’s Church, Margaree on Friday, October 24th, from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. John Billard officiating. Interment to follow in St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Margaree. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Phil’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
