It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herman Stephen Lillington announces his sudden but peaceful passing on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center with his loving family by his side, at the age of 63. Born in Port-aux-Basques, Herman was the son of the late Clayton and Ida (nee Harvey) Lillington.

Herman will be sadly missed by his brother, Russell (Blanche) Lillington, sister, Susanna (Rodney) Wells, sisters-in-laws, Christina and Vera Lillington, brother-in-law, George Best, special cousin, Glenda Parsons, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Herman was known around Isle aux Morts for his love of his electric bike, as you could catch him riding around almost every day, waving to anyone that he would see. His bike gave him the freedom to get around as he pleased, and his presence around town will certainly be missed.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers, Ruth (Hickman) Organ, Clayton Lillington, Rosalie Best and Richard Lillington, nephews, Shawn and Noland Lillington, niece, Katelyn Organ.

Special thanks to the IAM Fire Dept for their assistance and the nurses and doctors of Dr, Charles LeGrow Health Centre for there care and compassion. Thanks to Angela Chaulk for the care you have given Herman over the years, it will never be forgotten.

Family and friends may visit Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle aux Morts on Monday, October 27th, from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 28th at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Annie Rose officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Herman’s memory can be made to Holy Spirit Anglican Church.
