It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Annie “Maud” Leamon announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, November 5th, at Mountain Hope Manor at the age of 91 with her loving family by her side. Born in Pushthrough, she was the daughter of the late, William and Mary Jane (Dewland) Cooper.
Maud will be greatly missed by her loving children, Mildred (Wayne) Hatcher, George (Janice) Leamon, Franics (Wayne) King, Annie (Brian) Rae, Sandra (Raymond) Hardy, son -in-law, Timothy Lough and daughter-in-law, Karen Rodden, grandchildren, Michael Hatcher, Samantha Strickland, Susan Hatcher, Leonard Leamon, April Leamon, Shane Hardy, Derrick Lough, Katherine Lough and Robert Rae and greatgrandchildren, Kyson, Olivia, Shawn, Ashley, Jack, Joe, Clarissa, Ellie, Brook and Mariah.
She also leaves to mourn with precious memories, her brothers, Ron (Dot) Cooper, Lew (Barb) Cooper, Ray (Juanita)Cooper, Mildred Marsden, Alice (Stan) Cossar, Erica (Eric) Taylor and Ena (Doug) Kendell, sister-in-law, Lucy Cooper, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Maud was predeceased by her husband, Ronald, son, Lloyd daughters, Lilly Leamon and Rhonda Lough, grandchildren, Michael Pardy and Ashley Lough, sister, Blanche (Bill) Ball, brothers and sisters-in -law, Edward Cooper, Lloyd (Evelyn) Cooper, mother and father-in-law, George and Martha Leamon, plus a large circle of extended family.
Family and friends may visit St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands, on Sunday, November 9th, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place on Monday, November 10th at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. John Billard officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers accepted, and donations in memory of Maud may be graciously made to the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
