It is with deep sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of the late Brian Albert John Vautier announces his sudden passing on November 15th, 2025, at the age of 57. Born in Port aux Basques, Brian was the son of Sybil (nee Vautier) and the late Gerald Wayne King.

Brian leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his loving wife of 33 years,Claudia (nee Dicks), his daughter, Denesta Vautier-Dicks (Nathan Hayward), his mother, Sybil King, his sister, Sonya (Baine) Hodder and brother, Justin King, mother and father in law, Ivan and Ruby Dicks, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Boyd Osmond, Kim (Tom) Anderson, Tina (Dave) Pitchuck, Ivan Dicks (Skye Burke), his grand fur babies, Milo and Ginger, nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Julissa, Starr, Hunter, and Morgan. Charlaine, Leona and Jeanette, to Brian these were his sisters, plus a large circle of extended family, and many friends.

Brian loved his family and friends, but his true passion was being a fisherman, he started fishing at the age of 16 and the stories he could tell. Brian could light up a room with his grin, you never knew what he was going to say, but he knew how to make anyone laugh, his jolly ways will be missed by so many.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Gerald Wayne King and son, Dustin Vautier-Dicks.

In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place; family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Monday, November 17, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Kuda officiating and interment to follow at a later date. Flowers accepted or donations in Brian’s memory may be graciously made to the family.
