It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur Reginald Button announces his passing on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Port aux Basques, he was the son of Bridget Button and the late Oscar Button.

Reg will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Myrtle (nee Sheaves), son, Darren (Tracy) Button, daughters, Amanda (Dave) Carleton, and Faith (John Hill), grandchildren, Jace and Colin Carleton, Sarah Button, Lucas (Jennifer) Thomas, Cody Thomas (Samantha Pynn), and great-grandchildren, Winston and Scarlett Thomas. He also leaves to mourn his mother, Bridget Button, sister, Maisie (Ches) Frampton, brothers in law Johnny Sheaves and Ronnie Musseau, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Reg was predeceased by his brother, Philip Button, brothers and sisters in law, Philip (Emma Sheaves), Florence Spencer, Kenny Sheaves, Helen Sheaves, plus members of extended family.

In keeping with Reg’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal visitations will be held. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 23rd from Wesley United Church at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Jane Allen officiating. Interment to follow at Welsey United Cemetery.
