It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Sidney Robert Scott announces his passing on Friday, January 16th, 2026, with his loving family by his side, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 75. Born in Isle aux Morts, he was the son of the late George and Frances (nee Seymour) Scott.

He will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 55 years, Berthannia, children, Raymond (Lori Ann), Jacqueline, and his pride and joy grandchildren, David (Katie), Emily, Sydney, and Lily.

Sidney also leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters, Joan Sutton, Anetha (Clayton) Francis, Jim (June) Scott, Ann (Richard) Bateman, Jackie Musseau, Don (Olga) Scott, Junior (Mary) Scott, Harriet Warren, Paul (Cecelia) Scott, Rick (Valda) Scott, Beryl (Kevin) Dominix, and Jamie Scott (Maisie), brothers and sisters in law, John (Barbara) Durnford, Mabel Dollimount, Elizabeth (Daniel) Lawrence, Bill (Serah) Durnford, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by sister, Patricia “Pat” Dicks, brothers-in-law, George Sutton, Victor Musseau, Perry Warren, Freeman Dollimount Sr., Nephew, Freeman Dollimount Jr., and his mother and father-in-law, William and Edna Durnford.

In keeping with Sidney’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Isle aux Morts. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sidney can be made to Holy Spirit Anglican Church of Isle aux Morts or the Canadian Cancer Society.
