It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daphne Anderson announces her passing on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 74. Born in Come By Chance, Daphne was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Ena Harris.

Daphne leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 54 years, Gordon Anderson, her son, Glen Anderson, grandchildren, Vincent and Jessica Short Dillion Anderson, Dakota (Shay) Anderson, Brianna Anderson (Arjun), Alexander Anderson, and great grandchildren, Nakoa, Zaylen, Zahara, and her furbaby Casper.

She will also be sadly missed by sisters and brother, Cavelle (Roy) Hann, Kathleen (Herman) Short, Linda (Howard) Chatman, Tina Harris, Alvin (Jessie) Harris, and Debbie Clouter, and brothers and sister in laws, Norman Hicks, Gordon Murphy, and, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Daphne was predeceased by her daughter, Tracey Anderson, brothers and sisters Calvin Malcolm Jr Harris, Pearl Hicks, Ivan Harris, Eleanor Murphy, brother in law Garfield Clouter, and parents in law, Hibbert (Lavinia) Anderson.

Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Saturday, January 31st, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 1st, at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. Kuda officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are accepted, or donations in memory of Daphne can be made to St. James Anglican Church.
