It is with great sadness that the family of the late Diann Joyce McNeil announces her peaceful passing on Friday, February 20th, 2026, at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 68. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Marie (nee Osmond) Pike.
Diann will be sadly missed by her daughter, Candace McNeil and son, Roger McNeil, grandchildren, Nicole Ireland, Shawna Ireland and Nicholas McNeil.
She also leaves to mourn her siblings, Brenda Pink, Garfield (Brenda) Pike, Ross (Debbie) Pike, sister-in-law, Susan Skeard, Aunt Myrtle, and extended family of the McNeil’s, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to her friends, Alice, Bev and Marge for the care, and friendship they have shown to Diann since she moved to Port aux Basques. And thank you to the nurses and doctors at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for their care and compassion.
Diann was predeceased by her husband, Roger McNeil, brother, Dennis Pike and brother-in-law Chesley Pink.
In keeping with Diann’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal services. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca.
