Una 'Queen' Lillington Obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Una “Queen” Lillington announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 19th, at the age of 73, with her loving family by her side.


Queen leaves to mourn with many loving memories her sons, Wayne (Minnie) Lillington, Shawn (Christine) Lillington and daughter, Trina (Hayden) Alley, grandchildren, Brittany (EJ) Humby, Gregory, Kyle, Katie, Zachary and Cameron, great grandson, Mason and great granddaughter, Myah.


She will also be missed by brothers and sisters, Dave (Angela) Currie, Lloyd (Jennifer) Currie, Calvin (Rhonda) Currie, Ruby (Willard) Payne, Maxine Ingram, Diane (John) Collier, Madonna (Derek) Kettle, Kay Currie (Jim Sheaves), Judy (Tony) Merrigan, Tracy (Paul) Spencer, sister in law, Marilyn Underhill (David Rudge) , as well as a large circle of friends, nieces and nephews.


Queen was predeceased by her loving husband, Rick Lillington, mother, Theresa Currie, parents in law, Israel and Mary (White) Lillington, and brothers in law, Gary Lillington, Tom Lillington, and Bob Underhill.


Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 22nd, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 7:00-9:00 P.M. In keeping with Queen’s wishes, cremation will follow. An interment of ashes will take place on Tuesday, March 24th, with a procession starting from Oceanside Funeral Home to St. James Anglican Cemetery at beginning at 10:30 A.M. The interment will be officiated by Rev. Kuda. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
