It is with great sadness that the family of the late Karen Murphy announces her passing on Monday, April 6th, 2026, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center with her loving family by her side, at the age of 64. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Warren.

Karen will be greatly missed by her husband, Steve Murphy, her children, Samantha Murphy (Ryan Donaldson), Jillian Murphy (Chad Osmond), Adam Murphy (Carrie Long), and grandchildren, Sarah, Jesse, Tucker, Leah, and Bella.

She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, Minnie (Ken) Green, George (Elaine) Warren, Tammy (Terry) Ingram, Bernice Warren, and Sarah Warren, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow LTC unit for the care and compassion shown to their mom.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary, plus members of her immediate and extended family.

In keeping with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, on Friday, April 10th, from 7:00-9:00 P.M. An interment of ashes will take place on Saturday, April 11th, with a procession starting from Oceanside Funeral Home to St. James Anglican Cemetery at beginning at 10:30 A.M. The interment will be officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in memory of Karen may be made to St. James Anglican Church.
