It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Shayne Gerard Gaudet announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 67. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Evangeline Gaudet.

Shayne will be missed by his children, Spencer (Tiffany), Cody, Samantha (Lucas), Dakota (Kathleen), and Chelsey Everleigh, and his many grandchildren.

He also leaves to mourn, long time friend, Natasha Underhill, sisters, Leslie (David) MacLean, Jill (Sterling) Feener, special cousins, Kimmy Withrow and Nadine Macdonald, his ex-wife and friend, Debbie Allen, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Shayne will also be greatly missed by the entire Gaudet and Allen family, along with the trucking community across the country.

He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Evangline, and mother-in-law, Sylvia Allen.

Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Monday, May 18th from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19th, from St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Upper Ferry, officiated by Father Prakash. Interment will follow at Mount St. Thomas Cemetery, Great Codroy. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Shayne can be graciously made to the family.
