It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Percy Billard announces his passing on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 83 with his loving family by his side. Born in Isle aux Morts, he was the son of the late Joseph Robert and Lorena (nee Walters) Billard. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving partner of 20 years, Harriet Warren; and her children, Bernard (Cindy) Warren, Harlan (Marcheta) Warren and Tracy Warren (Winston Billard), grandchildren, Caitlin (Aaron) Cross, Lindsey Warren (Jonathan Patey), Marc Warren (Nikita Savoury) and Amber Warren, great grandchildren, Ella, Asher, Bree and Carter; brothers, Joseph (Shirley) Billard, Calvin Billard (Roxanne Seymour), Blanford (Doreen) Billard, Glen (Nancy) Evans, sisters, Georgina Hayman, Shirley Evans , Martha Jane Lawrence, in-laws Austin (Nita) Chislett, many nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. As Percy's work here on earth is done, he has been called home to the mysterious place we all know as heaven. It is our hope and belief that he has been placed in God's hands and will be rewarded with the relief of all pain and suffering. Percy will always be remembered for his commitment and dedication to the town of Isle aux Morts. He spent countless hours volunteering on a number of committees and organizations in the community, with Holy Spirit Anglican Church being his true passion. Percy was a very kind, patient and genuine man. He touched the hearts of all who knew him. A true Angel on earth, who has earned his wings and will fly high forever. Percy was predeceased by his brothers, John (Melita) Billard, brother-in-laws, Wilfred Hayman, Seaward Lawrence and Maxwell Evans. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday, October 8 from 2-4 at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street Port aux Basques and continuing Friday, October 8 from 7-9 p.m., at Holy Spirit Anglican Church from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev.
