It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sarah Louise Francis (nee Walters) announces her passing on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the age of 54, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of Emma and late William Henry Walters. Sarah will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her husband of 25 years, Kenny, daughter, Bailey, and son Lucas. Also left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her mother, Emma, sister, Jocelyne Keeping, brothers, Leon (Mike) Walters-Smith and David Walters, brother and sisters-in-law, Glenn (Alvena) Francis, Roxanne Francis, Donna (Janette) Francis, mother-in-law, Elizabeth Francis, nieces, Desiree, Leah and Maurora, nephews, Alexander, Desmond and Devon, extended family, and a large circle of friends. Sarah was predeceased by her father, William Henry Walters and father-in-law, Ralph Francis.

A sincere thank you is sent to all of the nurses and staff at Dr, Charles LeGrow Health Centre (especially her guardian angels, Jane, Sadie, Mary, and Amber) for the care and compassion shown to Sarah and her family.

Family and friends may visit the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts on Monday, October 25 and Tuesday, October 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Edward Coleman. Please note that in accordance with provincial regulations, proof of Covid-19 vaccination will be needed to enter for visitation. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Sarah can be made to the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port-aux-Basques, 695-7010.
