Obituary of David Gerald Dutot

It is with great sadness and heavy heart that the family of the late David Dutot announces his sudden passing at his residence on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the age of 74. Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of the late William and Margaret (nee Lomond) Dutot. “He traveled the roads in years gone past, a life he chose and hoped it would last. Driving all night from place to place, trying to get home and arriving so late. He has parked his truck now, his engine has stopped. And those who loved him, their hearts have dropped. He traveled the country, with a smile of great pride. Now he drives the streets of heaven, on his last ride”. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons, Billy Joe (Nicole) Dutot and Frank Dutot, grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Dutot, Cody Dutot, Vanessa Blackmore, David Jacobs, Chad Gavin,great grandchildren, Chad, Chase, Olivia,Mya and Zoe, sister, Gladys Porter, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. David was predeceased by his brothers, Dan, Bill, Max, Charlie Dutot, and sister, Margariet Devoy In keeping with David’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
