Obituary of Freeman Thomas Lomond

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Freeman Thomas Lomond announce his passing on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Western Health Long Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 81 with his family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques, Freeman was the son of the late Thomas and Francis Lomond. Freeman leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his brothers, Gerald Lomond, John (Nina) Lomond, sister, Winnie Lomond, nephews, Scott (Marilyn) Lomond, Darcey (Phyllis) Lomond, Jeff (Sylvia) Lomond, Raymond (Michelle) Lomond, and niece, Sharon Gallant. Freeman was predeceased by his brother, Lew Lomond, sister, Rosine (Edward) Kendall, and sister in law, Nellie Lomond. The family would like to send a special thanks to Albert and Natasha Kendall, and to the staff and nurses of Palliative Care and ICU of the Western Long Term Care Unit. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00–9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. In keeping with Freemans wishes, cremation to follow and no funeral service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
