It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Melvina Bryan announces her peaceful passing on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with the loving family by her side at the age of 85. Born in Isle aux Morts she was the daughter of the late John and Leah Munden. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many she will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her loving children, Karen (Wallace) Kinslow, Joy (Winston) Herritt, Jerome (Melida) Bryan, Dennis Bryan (Darlene Downey), John (Michelle) Bryan, Faye (Trevor) Munden, Isabella (Seaward) Herritt, Ross (Paula) Bryan, Lynette Bryan and Rosalie (Shawn) Sack, grandchildren great grandchildren. Also left to mourn sisters, Rose Harris, Kathleen (Gerald) MacDonald, brother, Ross (Susie) Munden, large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry, daughter in law, Darlene Bryan, grandsons, Aaron Bryan and Quinton Bond and great grandson, Ashton Vanevery, brother-in-law, Roy Harris, and her mother and father in law. Our wonderful momma had a beautiful soul and loved everyone as her own, she was a very hard worker and the best cook around. Thank you to her family on long term care who thought of her as their own loving grandmother. Thank you to her home care workers, Valetta Harris, Pauline Anderson, Michelle Bryan, Toby Keeping and Melissa Chaulk. A special thanks to the Doctors and staff of the Dr. Charles LeGrow Long Term Care Unit for their care and compassion shown to our mom, it will remain in our hearts forever. The family will receive visitors from St. George’s Anglican Church, Burnt Islands on Sunday October 30th from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place Monday, October 31st from St. George’s Anglican Church, Burnt Islands with Rev. Dianna Fry officiating at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Mort Road. Flowers accepted or donations in memory of Melvina can be made graciously to the family. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca
