It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ada Dingwell announces her passing on Monday, December 12th, 2022 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center at the age of 84 with her loving family by her side. Born in Grand Bay, NL, Ada was the daughter of the late James and Maude (nee Lomond) Gillam.
Ada leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons; Darryl (Cheryl) Dingwell, and Dean (Sherry) Dingwell, grandchildren; Hilary Bernard (Jason Osmond), Tyler Dingwell, step-grandchildren Chris (Jen) Reynolds, Kelly (Colby) Wiederspel, Craig (Elaine) Reynolds, great granddaughter, Madison Osmond, and step- great grandchildren Olivia, Ashton, Summer, Cruz, Wesley, and Owen. Ada also leaves to mourn her sisters; Susie Matthews, Eva (Dennis) Loder, Blanche (Eugene) Pike, Kay (Wilfred) LeRiche, her brother; Vince (Darlene) Gillam, her fur friend Bentley, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Ada was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, sisters; Christina, Josephine, Nora, brother; Eric, and brother in-law, Charles.
Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port-aux-Basques on Wednesday, December 14th from 2:00-4:00 P.M and 7:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will take place at St. James Anglican Church in Port-aux-Basques on Thursday, December 15th at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted, and donations in memory of Ada can be made to Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home.
