Obituary of Linda Foote

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Linda Susan Foote announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, December 15th 2022 at Dr. Charles Legrow Health Center with her loving family by her side at the age of 72. Born in Port aux Basques, Linda was the daughter of the late Fred and Susan (nee Musseau) Gale. Linda will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 52 years, Frank Foote, her children Carol (Stephen) Ingram and Derek Foote (Patti Merrigan), her grandchildren, Joshua, Ashleigh, Sophie, and Avery. Also left to mourn Linda’s sister and brothers, Yvonne (Cecil) Baggs, Frederick (Kay) Gale and Glenn (Elaine) Gale, brothers- and sisters-in-law, John (Florence) Foote, George (Patricia) Foote, Fred (Faye) Foote, Helen Meade, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents Fred and Susan Gale, parents-in-law Jack (John) and Katie Foote, brothers- and sister-in-law, Wilson (Marilyn) Foote, John Meade, and nephews Kenny Gale and John Meade. In keeping with Linda’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 17th from 2:00-4:00 P.M and 7:00-9:00 P.M at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 18th at 2:00 PM at St. James’ Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen Officiating. Interment at a later date.
