It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of a loving, spouse, mother, grandmother, sister and sister in law, Florence Spencer on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with her loving family by her side. Born in Port aux Basques,she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Ivy (nee Roberts) Sheaves.

Florence leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her common law spouse of 30 years, Ronnie Musseau, her son, Christopher (Chasity) Spencer, Edmonton, AB, daughter, Rhonda (Dean) LeRiche, Port aux Basques grandchildren, Freeman, Whitney and Rachel, great grandson, Holden, brother, John Sheaves and sister, Myrtle (Reginald) Button, mother-in-law, Pearl Musseau, sister and brothers in laws, Joan Mauger (Joe Baggs), Dave (Daphne) Musseau, Jerry (Vivian) Musseau, Norma Frampton (Gary Bennett), Brian (Suzanne) Musseau, Cathy Musseau (Cliff Osmond) and Colin Musseau (Shawna Baker),large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Florence was predeceased by brother, Philip (Emma) Sheaves,Kenneth Sheaves, five siblings in infancy, Mary, Edith, Lillian, Richard, Gordon and sister-in-law, Helen Sheaves, Gloria Musseau.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Hope Manor for the care and compassion shown to Florence.

In keeping with Florence’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques, with a funeral service on Monday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. from Wesley United Church with Joan Chaisson officiating.
