It is with great sadness that the families of the late Hickman Organ announce his passing on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at the age of 84, at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Isle aux Morts, Hickman was the son of the late George and Sadie (nee Harvey) Organ.

Hickman will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Ruth (nee Lillington), his children, Dennis (Linda) Organ, St. Catherines. Ont, Darren (Angie) Organ, Derek Organ (Janet Spencer), and Damon (Corinne) Organ, all of Isle aux Morts, grandchildren, Cody Organ, Mason Organ, Mckenzie Organ, Jesse Organ, great niece Christina Lillington, and William Taylor who he saw as an adopted grandson.

Hickman also leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters, Melissa Parsons, Jessie Thorne, Roger (JoAnn) Organ, Susan (Philip) Hibbs, Bishop John (Irene) Organ, Ronnie Organ, Annie (Max) Clarke, and Wanda Organ, brothers and sisters-in-law, Gladys Organ, Rosalie (George) Best, Russel (Blanche) Lillington, Susanna (Rodney) Wells, Herman Lillington, Christina Lillington, Vera Lillington, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Hickman was predeceased by his granddaughter, Katelyn Organ, his brothers, Freeman (Marie) Organ, Dennis Organ and Arch Organ, brothers-in-law, Walter Thorne, Whitey Parsons, Clayton Lillington, Richard Lillington, mother and father in law Clayton and Ida Lillington.

The family would like send thanks to the staff at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center and Dr. Blecher for going above and beyond to make sure Hickman was well looked after in his last days.

Visitation will take place at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts on Wednesday, March 22nd, and Thursday March 23rd. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 24th at 2:00 P.M, from Holy Spirit Church, with Bishop John Organ officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts road. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
