It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Betty Lillington announces her passing on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Long Term Care, Corner Brook, at the age of 79.

Born in Burnt Islands, she was the daughter of the late Wilson Sr and Corella (Fudge) Keeping. Betty leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 59 years, Gordon, neice and nephews, Tanya (Shane) Harvey, Jason Lillington, Damian Munden, Marquise Harvey, her grandchildren, Brittany, Tori, Amber, Nikita, Alexa, great grandchildren, Addison, Grayson, Olivia, and Calie, brothers, George (Jacqueline) Keeping, Roland (Dora) Keeping, Dana Keeping, Jermone (Theresa Mae) Keeping, and Gordon (Charlene) Keeping and sisters and brothers in laws, Louise Keeping, Sheila Keeping, George (Myrtle) Lillington, Hughie Lillington, Gertie Kane, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Betty was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Lorraine, Wilson, Ken, Terrance, Loretta, Lillian, Phyllis (Monford), Carrie (Percy) Edna (Dave) and James Kane.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, April 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, with a private family service to follow. In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation to follow, with interment at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
