It’s with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather , great grandfather, brother and brother in law, Norman Patey Jr on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre with his loving family by his side. Born in Pasadena he was the son of the late Norman and Jane (nee Short) Patey.

Norman leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine (nee Walters), his children, Mike (Kim Carter) Patey, Robert Patey, Raiann (Richard) Walters and Connie (Bruce) LeRiche, grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Tanya McNeil (Troy Walters), Christopher (Maureen) LeRiche and Jon (Becca) LeRiche.

Norman will never be forgotten by brothers, Alvin and Daniel Patey, sisters-in-laws, Irene McNeil, Christine Kendall, Loretta Patey, brothers-in-laws, Calvin Walters, Wilfred LeRiche, Carl Gale, as well large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his, brother, Edward Patey, sister, Sedilla Gale and Gloria LeRiche , brothers- in-laws, Edgar McNeil, John Kendall, sister-in-law, Florence Walters, mother and father in law, Sadie and Abraham Walters, nephews, Darren LeRiche, Norman Gale and Shane Skinner.

In keeping with Norman’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques on Monday, May 1st from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date.
