It is with great sadness and heavy heart that the family of the late Brian Northcott announce his passing on May 1st, 2023, at age 66, surrounded by his loving family at home. Brian will always be remembered for being a man of all trades, from helping anyone with their electrical needs to being well known by any fishermen along the south west coast for his knowledge of marine equipment. He dedicated 40 years as a volunteer on the fire department with 30 years as fire chief. He loved spending quality time making memories with his loved ones, especially on the ocean, at the cabin and berry picking. He was a well-known, dependable man who will be missed by many. Born in Margaree, Brian was the son of the late Freeman and Olive Northcott. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marilyn (nee Bateman) of 40 years. He also leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories, his girls Janice (Jonathan) Hardy, and Kayla Northcott (Jay Pelley), his grandson, Owen, granddaughter, Kate, and fur grand babies Charlie and Jax. Brian will be sadly missed by his sisters, Judy (John), Joyce(Wayne), Maisie (Pat) and brother, Melvin (Gail), sisters and brothers in laws, Meta, Edna, Clifford (Janet), Eileen (Allan), Rose (George), Liz (Ken), Richard (Ann), Dorman (Geraldine), Pauline, Viola (Paul) and Maggie (Terry), plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brian was predeceased by his mother and father in law Jane and James Bateman, nephew, Scott Seymour, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Walter, Junior, Stanley, and Loretta (Henry).
