It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Shawn Christopher Leamon announce his passing on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, at age 53 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of Abram Leamon and the late Gladys Leamon. He will be forever missed by his loving partner, Susanne Ball Mombourquette, and her children, Michael (Samantha) and Sarah. Shawn also leaves to mourn his father, Abram Leamon, his brothers, Ronald (Lorna) Leamon, Colin (Cara) Leamon, Bradley Leamon, and Jamie (Ann Marie) Leamon, brothers and sisters in laws, Charlotte (Richard) Mombourquette, Stella (Arnold) Anderson, Louie (Krista) Ball, Laura (Mark) McGee and Grant (Eleanor) Ball, plus nieces, nephews, extended family, close friends (Ricky, Ronnie, Alvin) and a large circle of friends.

Shawn was predeceased by his mother, Gladys Leamon.

Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques on Saturday, May 20th from 7:00 -9:00 p.m, and Sunday, May 21st from 2:00 -4:00 & 7:00 -9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. from Wesley United Church with Joan Chaisson officiating, with interment to follow at Wesley United Cemetery.
