It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Annie Emily May Young announce her passing on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023, with her loving husband by her side at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook. Born in Port aux Basques, Annie was the daughter of the late Archibald and Sylvia Allen.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 35 years, George Young, son, Draper (Stephanie) Allen, grandchildren, Dillon and Kearsten Allen, and great grandchildren, Daeson Allen, and Harper Gillam. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her brothers and sisters, Arch,Lou (Laura), Hubert (Tina), Parker (Jennifer), Valsey (Dave), Vicky, Debbie, Wendy (Henry) and Sylvia (Dale), sisters-and brothers-in-law, Art (Alice), Claude, John, Rose, and Irene (Sandy), plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Annie was predeceased by her brother, Douglas Allen, and brother in law, Charlie Osmond.

Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home in Port aux Basques on Saturday, July 29th, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 30th at Salvation Army Citadel in Port aux Basques at 2:00 P.M with Captain Dave Harvey officiating. Interment to follow at Salvation Army Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted, or donations in memory of Annie can be made to the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
