Kathleen Louise Wall Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Louise Wall announce her passing on Friday, August 11th, 2023, at Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center, Long Term Care, just 5 days short of her 70th Birthday. Born in the Codroy Valley, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Geraldine Wall.

Louise leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sisters, Judy, Margie (Butch), Maureen (Dan), brothers, Robert (Tracy), Peter (Lori), sister-in-law, Marilyn, nieces and nephews, Kris, Kirk, Emily, Stephanie, Jennifer, Durwin, Carly, Angie, Travis, Melissa, and their partners and children.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Geraldine Wall, brother, Donald, niece, Sarah, and brother-in-law, Charlie (Junior).

At the young age of 3 years old, Louise suffered from Spinal Meningitis, resulting in years of care and support. Those early years came with care from our mom, and after mom’s death Louise had many support workers. Just to name a few, Debbie Ryan-Vautier, Oceanside Homecare (Minnie, Vicki and workers) and Long-Term Care in Port aux Basques. We would like to thank each and every one that cared for our sister over her lifetime.

Over the years Louise worked at the Starlight Motel and Frenchies with Doreen, Esther, Shirley, Martha and Vivian.

One of the highlights of Louise’s Life was at The Special Olympics in Collingwood, Ontario and Banff, Alberta with support worker, Alisha AuCoin, resulting in a Homecoming gathering in her honour. Louise had a large circle of family and friends whom she entertained with her stories and jokes. She always enjoyed her Sunday afternoons at the Chignic with her friend, Jeanette, for the live music.

Louise loved music almost as much as her tea. Ironically in her last hours of Long-Term Care, her all time favourite song “Bringing Mary Home” was part of the rotation of the music playing on the ward.

Special thanks to her sister, Maureen, who over the years answered many calls, good and bad. To all her caretakers over the years a huge Thank You.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home. We, as a family, have chosen to remember and celebrate her life privately. Words of comfort can be sent by visitingwww.oceansidefh.ca.

In memory of Louise, have a good strong cup of tea, turn up the music and sing along!!
