It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Gerald Wallace Anderson announce his passing on Monday, August 14th, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 83. Born in Port aux Basques, Gerald was the son of the late Howard and Jane Anderson. Gerald leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 62 years Kay (nee MacDonald), his loving children, Terry MacDonald (Paula), Tony Anderson, and Todd (Denise) Anderson, his grandchildren, Stephen MacDonald, Crystal Anderson, Christian MacDonald, Morgan Anderson, Peyton Anderson, great-grandchildren, Ryder MacDonald, Riley Baggs, Sarah and Jessie MacDonald. Gerald will also be sadly missed by his brother Art (Elsie) Anderson, his card partner, Monford Keeping, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gerald was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, John Anderson, Lew Anderson, Bert Anderson, Charles Anderson, Lillian Cribb, and Ethel Young, father and mother-in-law, John and Annie MacDonald, and brother and sister-in-law, Stephen MacDonald and Geraldine Osmond. In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal visitations or funeral service. Interment will be held on Monday, August 21st, at 2:00 P.M., at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca.
