It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late George Fiander announce his passing on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 67. Born in Codroy, George was the son of the late George and Kay Fiander.

George leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his son, Curtis Fiander, and daughter, Candace (Dale) Nicholson, and his grandchildren, Max and Parker. George will also be sadly missed by his sisters and brothers, Shirley (Bruce) Fountain, Elaine (Jim) Vickers, Hilda (Mike) Anderson, Alan Fiander, Jim Fiander, Terry (Rose) Fiander, Darryl (Terri-Lee) Fiander, Dennis (Jackie) Fiander, Randy Fiander, Bob Fiander and Brian (Susan) Fiander, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

George was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Fiander, brother Bill Fiander, and nephew, Colin Anderson.
