It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rebecca “Becky” Billard announce her peaceful passing on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 97 years with her loving family by her side. Born in Otter’s Point, Rebecca was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice Frampton.

Rebecca was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter, Wanda (Kevin) Lomond, son, Merrill Billard, grandchildren, Mark Lomond (Justine), Lee and Sara Billard, great grandchildren, Jeanna, Noah and Lucy, sisters and brothers-in -law, Gladys Lawrence, Louise Lucas, Harret Green, Eileen (Ephraim) Herritt, Marilyn Smith, Winter (Ann) Billard, Max Francis, Lindsay (Bernice) Billard, plus large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and a large circle of friends. She loved knitting homemade socks, trigger mitts and gloves, quilting was her favorite pastime and loved doing these things for her family and friends. She loved spending time at the Senior Club in Isle aux Morts with her friends, especially Wednesday’s drop-in group and the card games.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Levi in 2006 and her 5 brothers and 2 sisters, brothers, and sisters in laws.

Family and friends may visit Holy Spirit Anglican Church on Sunday, October 15 and Monday, October 16 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:00 P.M from Holy Spirit Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen and Deacon Herbert Park officiating with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be the Holy Spirit Anglican Church.
