Obituary of Bob Greene

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Bob Greene announce his passing on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center in Port aux Basques, at the age of 65. Born in Port aux Basques, Bob was the son of the late Ann and Archibald Greene. He leaves with fond and loving memories his wife Alice of 26 years, who was his life, his children, Rhonda (Tom), Jamie, Mark (Kaitlyn) and Jacob, pride and joys, his grandchildren, Mason, Myelle, Kayden, Parker, Lucy, Nora, and Olivia. He leaves to mourn, his brothers, Jack (Beverly), Gerald (Janice), Clayton (Diane), his sisters Shelia (Junior) and Christine, brothers, and sister’s in-laws who he was so fond of, nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, plus a large circle of extended family. Not to forget, his large circle of friends, especially those at Tim Horton’s, Mariners, Big BG and his love for cold plates, food, and spending time around the fire. He will also be missed by his three precious cats, whom he loved and adored, Twinkle, Frankie, and Callie. Bob was predeceased by his sister Brenda, father and mother in-law Tom and Alfreda Coley, and his furry companion, Bager. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in Western Memorial Regional Hospital for everything they had done for Bob, to the Qalipu First Nation for their support and help, and although it was only for a short time in Port aux Basques, we would like to thank the nurses and doctors for everything they had done to bring Bob home. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home in Port aux Basques on Friday, November 17th, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18th at St. James Anglican Church in Port aux Basques at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jane Allen officiating. Flowers graciously accepted or donations graciously can be made to the family in memory of Bob. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home.
