It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Linda Ann White announces her peacefully passing on Thursday, December 21st, 2023 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 68, with her loving family by her side. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (nee Short) LeRiche.

Linda leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Melvin of 50 plus years, her loving son, Kevin (Karen) and daughter, Phoebe (Roy) Standing, her pride and joy, her granddaughters, Jordyn and Addison, grandsons, Cody (Tori), Kyle (Shelby) and Jesse, great granddaughters, Eenie and Aspen, two special family members, Krystle Hill and Kenny Sweet.

She will be never forgotten by brothers and sisters, Clifford (Janice), Bob (Linda), Bert (Joan), Bruce (Connie), Brian (Darlene), George (Cathy), Terry, Rick (Anita), Dean (Rhonda), Elaine (Guy) and Marjorie (Harvey) and brothers and sisters-in-laws, Alice, Josie (Horward), Florence (Seaward), Rosine (Junior), Gary (Elsie), Will, Wayne (Beverly) Valerie (Dennis), Norma (Paul), Jeff, Linda (Ray), Raylene (Ephie), Rick (Nina) Debbie (Mike), Sharon and Vernon, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and a large circle of friends.

Linda was predeceased by mother and father-in-law, Walter and Phoebe White, brothers-in-laws, Albert White, Reginald Osmond, sisters-in-laws, Nancy Jeans and Sharon Pike.

Special thanks to Linda LeRiche, who never left Linda’s side through everything and to Darlene LeRiche who helped in every way possible. Thank you to Dr, Thomas and staff of Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre, Dr. McCarthy and for the exceptional care from paramedics, Nathan Cook and RJ Keeping.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Friday, December 22nd from 2:00 -4:00 & 6:30 -9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 1:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, with Rev. Jane Allen officiating.
